Animals & Religion
Gallup polls estimate that 70-90% of the world’s population is religious and that many Middle Eastern and African countries are nearly 100% religious. In the United States, 82% of those surveyed state religion is important to them.
Most of the major religious traditions teach mercy, and there is growing awareness that how we treat animals is a measure of our moral character.
From providing free veterinary care in underserved areas to including pet food in traditional food drives; from establishing grounds as wildlife sanctuaries to hosting pet adoption events; find out how you can bring these ministries and more to any religious community.
