Short film about elephant poaching is greenlit through HSUS's ACE program
The word "poaching" conjures thoughts of massive elephants in Africa killed for their tusks and left to rot. But in the United States poaching is just as deadly and brutal. And with scarce wildlife enforcement resources and countless acres of open land, only a scant few percent of poachers are caught and punished for their crimes.
This short feature from the AFI Directing Workshop for Women and filmmaker Alexa-Sascha Lewin and writer Brad Rister is a textbook example of how content creators can raise awareness of such important animal issues while delivering compelling entertainment media.
