Fighting Puppy Mills Becomes Fashionable
Designer Nick Friedberg has created a jacquard fabric bracelet and matching canine companion collar for his 2010 NSF Spring collection and 100% of NSF's profits goes toward supporting the Stop Puppy Mills campaign. He and GQ Magazine decided to throw a star-studded party in the Hollywood Hills to raise awareness.

Dealing Dogs a Winning Hand
It was all in for the animals—and for underserved youths—when supporters of The HSUS gathered in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday, May 9 for "Casino Royale: Playing for Change." An evening of casino games and a celebrity poker tournament, it marked the kick off of a campaign to bring The HSUS's "End Dogfighting" program to Los Angeles, where the blood sport has reached epidemic proportion.

Reid Scott Gives Dogs a Fighting Chance
Reid Scott, star of the TBS comedy "My Boys", told the Hollywood office of The HSUS that he would do whatever he could to help animals. When asked if he would film some PSAs in support of launching our End Dogfighting program in L.A., Reid stepped up for the animals.

Cinema Chimp, the extraordinary story of Cheeta, one of Hollywood's most famous chimpanzee "actors," has won a $25,000 documentary grant from The HSUS for exploring the controversial issue of using primates in entertainment.

Hollywood's Starring Role in Prop 2
Celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi and Oprah Winfrey helped the successful Yes! On Prop 2 campaign for California's ballot in 2008 by lending their names, their time, and their pocket books. This list of supporters also included Moby, Carole King, Hilary Duff, Alicia Silverstone, Tobey Maguire and Russell Simmons.
