Courses and Credentialing Programs

Courses by topic

Students may take any of our courses individually without committing to an entire certification program.

Many of our courses have been pre-approved for continuing education credit toward the Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) credential. For details, please see course descriptions in DigitalChalk.

Credentialing programs

Credentialing programs include both instructor-led and self-paced courses. Students log in at their own discretion to complete the course material unless a scheduled meeting is described in the syllabus. There are four terms each year, and students are expected to complete a course within the scheduled terms. See our current terms schedule.

Certified Humane Education Specialist Program

This program is designed to help classroom teachers, school administrators, youth outreach professionals, shelter directors, humane education specialists and humane law enforcement officers enhance their credentials and effectively use their limited time and resources to infuse humane education into current prosocial programs. Additional credentialing programs will be added soon.
