Operations Intern—Operations Planning & Analysis Team

The Operations Planning & Analysis Team, which reports to the Chief Operating Officer, focuses on areas of strategic planning, performance analysis, and workflow optimization. The team has an opportunity for an intern (click to view expanded position description) to gain firsthand experience in shaping operational strategy at our organization. This is a strong learning experience, especially for a student who is studying business.

The intern will gain familiarity with the day to day operational activities and work on self-selected projects relating to strategic planning, analysis, and operational efficiencies.

Strong intern applicants meet the following requirements:

  • Interest in operations and animal protection work
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • MBA student or undergraduate business student preferred

The time commitment is 10-15 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks. This internship is unpaid; however, course credit can be arranged.

Intern must pass a criminal background check and sign a waiver and release of liability. Work is located in our Gaithersburg, Md., office.
