Intern, Humane Education—Humane Society University

Humane Society University is dedicated to advancing human-animal interdisciplinary scholarship by training current and future professionals to provide ethical and sustainable leadership.

We're looking for a full- or part-time Humane Education intern to assist in building our educational repository, compile research related to humane education, and perform general outreach. The intern may also act as teaching assistant for youth courses and respond to inquiries.

Valuable learning opportunities for someone in this role include strengthening lesson plan formation, developing/strengthening curriculum and pedagogy knowledge, and honing research skills.

Intern applicants should have knowledge in lesson plan formation and research, strong communication and research skills, and be able to read and understand academic material. Knowledge in pedagogy and curriculum are strongly preferred, but not required.

This internship is unpaid; however, course credit can be arranged. Interns must pass a criminal background check and sign a waiver and release of liability. The position is located in our Gaithersburg, Md., office.
