Administrative Assistant, Programs and Innovations
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its Programs and Innovations department. The main responsibility for this position is to provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President of the Programs and Innovations department and assist the Wildlife department. Other duties include, but are not limited to: schedule travel, word processing (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and interaction with other departments; assist the Wildlife department including meeting administration; develop and assist with routine email, telephone, and mail requests for assistance related to wildlife; perform tasks related to budget, accounting forms, documents/ requisitions, human resources administrative requirements, and other support services. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field, along with supervisory general office experience highly desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to quickly obtain and organize information, strong social skills, and willingness to travel are essential. Commitment to animal protection including basic knowledge and comprehension of current issues preferred.
