Associate Producer, Video

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking an Associate Producer for its Video department.  The main responsibilities of this position are:  Shoot video footage for various HSUS projects, edit footage for both media outlets and the HSUS website, manage footage requests, and maintain the HSUS video library.  Other duties include, but are not limited to:  tape/DVD duplication, screen and time-code field tapes and interviews; digitize media into editing systems; encode videos in various streaming formats; schedule studio operations, maintain equipment, and other duties as assigned.  Some college or equivalent is preferred with one to three years of experience in video production. Candidate must possess good organizational and computer skills (database, digital media software).  Essential experience includes:  Video editing skills, knowledge of various video formats, knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe After Effects; ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds of equipment and some travel will be required.
