Assistant Campaign Manager, Humane Society International
Humane Society International (HSI), the international division of The Humane Society of the United States, is seeking an Assistant Campaign Manager for its Farm Animal Welfare department. The main responsibility of this position is to provide administrative and technical support to the campaigns against factory farming internationally. Other duties include, but are not limited to: work with in-country consultants and translators to update existing campaign materials to reflect legal, scientific and industry-related developments and to develop additional materials as needed; assist with industry related research; engage members through social networking sites; serve as the liaison between the HSUS public relations department and in-country consultants in the development and dissemination of press releases; coordinate the development of advertising materials and articles for publishing in industry and mainstream media internationally. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with six months to one year’s related work experience highly desired. Strong writing, library and online research, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills are essential. Proficiency in an Asian language desired. Preference given to candidates with proficiency in Mandarin. Commitment to animal protection is strongly preferred.
