Part-time Administrative Assistant, Fund for Animals Wildlife Center
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for one of its Animal Care Centers-Fund for Animals Wildlife Center. The main responsibility for this position is to answer the phones, greet guests, assist with patient intake, database maintenance and other general office duties. Other duties include, but are not limited to: work within a team to compile and update records in computer databases; monitor media library, tag and organize files, upload to headquarters as requested; assist with credit card and invoice processing and reports; set up all new vendors and contractors; assist with public interaction on the phone and in person during animal adoptions, donation drop-offs, tours, fundraisers; order office supplies. High school diploma or equivalent along with one to three years’ of general/administrative office experience is highly desired. Knowledge of normal native wildlife behavior and strong written and verbal communication skills are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must also have excellent telephone etiquette and computer skills including familiarity with all Microsoft Office software. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
