Data Analysis Director, Information Services & Technology
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Data Analysis Director for its Information Services & Technology department. The main responsibility of this position is to provide strategic and tactical support to the Direct Mail team by analyzing and interpreting donor and financial data to make recommendations on fundraising strategy for mail, telemarketing and other multi-channel efforts. Other duties include, but are not limited to: develop Models and strategies for fundraising efforts; develop and report on metrics on multiple fundraising variables; manage the overlay scheme for third party data; oversee and perform ad hoc analytical analysis as needed; raise the overall knowledge of the organization around predictive modeling techniques, multivariate analysis and fundraising statistics. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field along with seven or more years’ experience highly desired. An ideal candidate will have several years’ experience working with data from donor or customer databases. Knowledge of Team Approach, Raiser’s Edge, CONVIO or similar donor database software is desired. Strong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in advanced computer applications including SQL Server is preferred.
