Online Campaign Strategist, Online Communications
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking an Online Campaign Strategist for its Online Communications department. The main responsibility of this position is to create, produce and manage online campaigns to support the donor development goals of the organization and to effectively engage online donors and advocates in our work. Other duties include, but are not limited to: write, create and send emails to segments of The HSUS’s online house file using established segmentation strategies; manage creative online campaigns ranging from online donation forms, special event invitations, action alerts, and integrated special projects; analyze email and online campaign performance and provide reports and recommendations based on the data; liaise between HSUS stakeholders on the priority, strategy, targeting and timing of online campaigns. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Communications or other relevant field along with at least three years’ experience is highly desired. Candidate must have experience in online content production—producing and maintaining web pages and/or emails, writing/editing for an online audience, and project management—preferably for an advocacy or other nonprofit organization. Experience in and/or knowledge of web development processes and online advocacy is preferred. Candidates must also demonstrate strong HTML and web design skills and possess excellent organization, writing, and editing skills.
