Online Campaign Strategist (fundraising), Online Communications
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking an Online Campaign Strategist for its Online Communications department. The main responsibility of this position is to create, produce and manage online fundraising campaigns to support the development goals of the organization and to effectively engage donors in our direct care work. Other duties include, but are not limited to: project managing web redesign projects; write, create and send regular email newsletters; create and manage online events and donation forms; analyze email and online campaign performance and provide reports and recommendations based on the data; liaise between direct care stakeholders on the priority, strategy, targeting and timing of online fundraising campaigns and web content. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Communications or other relevant field along with at least three years’ experience highly desired. Candidate must have experience in online content production—producing and maintaining web pages and/or emails, writing/editing for an online audience and project management—preferably for an advocacy or other nonprofit organization. Experience in and/or knowledge of web development processes and online advocacy is preferred. Candidates must also demonstrate strong HTML and web design skills and possess excellent organization, writing and editing skills.
