Manager, Internal Communications, Human Resources

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Manager, Internal Communications for its Human Resources Department.  This position develops and implements timely and engaging internal communication strategies and programs that will inform and educate employees about the organization, enhancing their understanding of our business strategy and initiatives and increasing their engagement with, and advocacy for, The HSUS.  This includes planning, coordinating, and executing various communication vehicles and tactics, particularly the management of the overall content and functionality of the corporate intranet as an information conduit and value-added resource for employees.  Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience.  Five years of progressive experience developing, coordinating, editing, and executing organizational communications, particularly employee-focused and web-based communications highly desired.  Knowledge and experience with web publishing and content management systems (preferably Microsoft SharePoint) strongly desired.
