Manager of Curriculum and Training, Humane Society Academy
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Manager of Curriculum and Training for its Humane Society Academy. The main responsibility of this position is to oversee curriculum innovation, planning, research, development, and evaluation of educational offerings (content and curriculum guides, assignments, exams and culminating activities, resource lists, etc.) for Humane Society Academy’s identified audiences. Other duties include, but are not limited to: facilitate production and coordination and oversee revisions of curriculum and any ancillary materials for online courses; ensure courses maintain department curriculum standards and guidelines; oversee faculty vetting and development through in-service program and provide curricular support and guidelines to course developers and facilitators utilizing curriculum and faculty guides; facilitate production, coordination, and updates for new and existing trainings and train-the-trainer programs; oversee webinars and HSA use of the webinar platform; coordinate HSA scholarships. A Master’s degree or equivalent in curriculum or instructional design, humanities, social sciences, writing, or education highly desired. Candidates must have experience with designing and developing curriculum and project management. Knowledge of animal care and control community, law enforcement, science of animal welfare, human-animal studies is strongly preferred. Candidates must also be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and webinar and online learning platforms.
