Manager, Online Communications

The Humane Society of the United States (The HSUS), the nation's largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Manager of Online Communications for its HSLF Department. The main responsibility of this position is to direct advocacy, engagement, political, and fundraising online communications for HSLF.

Other duties include, but are not limited to: overseeing all activities necessary to run the organization's online communications and expand our online presence including email alerts and appeals, fundraising, political, and advocacy campaigns and new and emerging media; working closely with an HSUS executive on blog, and routing each blog though an editing/review process; developing and implementing new online strategies and initiatives to raise funds, grow the email file, support campaign and program goals, and cultivate donors and advocates; planning and implementing market and outreach campaigns across new and traditional media channels to further the organization's fundraising, advocacy and communications goals; overseeing related technology development, and daily operations. 

A bachelor's degree or equivalent, with four to six years of online content creation, fundraising planning, and fundraising management experience are highly desired. Excellent planning, writing, editing, research, and computer skills are essential. Literacy in Internet communications, fundraising, and marketing is preferred.
