Registrar and Section Administrator, Humane Society Academy
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Registrar and Section Administrator for its Humane Society Academy section. The Registrar and Section Administrator is responsible for all administrative and operational functions of Humane Society Academy (HSA). The main responsibilities of this position are to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all student and faculty records, including contracts; facilitate effective student registration and enrollment through the Student Information System (SIS); build secure student data files using the Learning Management System (LMS) and other record systems; and maintain up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, final examination schedules as applicable, active credential files, and program of study audit systems. Responsibilities also include assisting staff with day-to-day activities, department outreach, course production as possible, planning and follow up of training programs, and distribution of materials and resources as well as response to requests for information. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, ideally in student services, educational administration, or related area. Three or more years of direct experience in student services and administration highly desired. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 2000 software package, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, as well as a basic knowledge of PowerPoint, also preferred. Other important skills include: ability to collaborate effectively with departments and cross-functional teams, a positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.
