  • Alyson Bodai The HSUS's Wisconsin state director. Pete Marovich

Currently the Wisconsin state director for The HSUS, Alyson Bodai first joined The HSUS in 2006 as a campaigner against abuse at factory farms across the country.

Before joining The HSUS, Bodai was an academic advisor at the University of Iowa. While there, she founded the Farm Animal Welfare Network at the university, focusing on educating the public about factory farm abuses.

Also at the university, Bodai successfully campaigned the campus food services to use only cage-free eggs. She also coordinated volunteers from the university's law school to make rescue trips to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.

Alyson received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Houston. During graduate school in educational psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, she volunteered with Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc.
