Colorado State Director
Jacquelyn Pyun has been with The Humane Society of the United States since 2008, serving as Senior Manager of Online Campaigns at The HSUS's headquarters, before becoming Colorado state director in 2013.
Previously at The HSUS, Pyun led the online efforts for a number of animal protection issues, including three important ballot initiatives: YES on Prop 2 in California, Yes on Prop B in Missouri, and NO on Prop 109 in Arizona.
Her work developing online campaigns for the organization has given her valuable insight into effective messaging and grassroots lobbying, which she hopes to apply to Colorado campaigns to improve animal welfare. Prior to joining The HSUS, she cultivated her life-long love for animals by fostering cats and volunteering for Independent Animal Rescue in North Carolina.
Pyun holds her B.A. in economics and B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Denver with her partner Michael, their sweet dog Bodhi, and two mischievous cats, Frankie and Zyla.
