Ohio State Director

Karen Minton

Before joining The HSUS as the Ohio state director in 2010, Karen Minton played a key role with The HSUS as the campaigns manager for Ohioans for Humane Farms.

Her leadership in advocating for improved standards for Ohio’s farm animals led to an historic agreement between agriculture and animal welfare groups.

Previously, she led legislative efforts as the program director for the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund, a child abuse prevention agency, and served as policy advisor/legislative agent to Ohio House Speaker and former Governor Taft.
