Florida State Director
A dedicated long-distance runner, MacFall began organizing the "Tails and Trails" run/walk fundraiser for the Tallahassee Animal Service Center 11 years ago. She continues to organize the annual event and now serves on the shelter's advisory board and fosters special-needs dogs as needed.
Five years ago, MacFall took her support for the Tallahassee Animal Service Center one step further, co-founding the Animal Shelter Foundation. The non-profit organization supports the shelter in many areas: providing veterinary care beyond the shelter's resources, actively promoting spay/neuter, encouraging responsible pet ownership, and more.
MacFall is a great fan of the bully breeds and has also been a strong advocate for Florida's greyhounds for many years.
An ardent volunteer and supporter of The HSUS before joining our staff, she has been involved with our Taking Action for Animals conferences for the last five years, as well as several Animal Care Expos.
As a member of Toastmasters International, she puts her excellent communication skills to work speaking up for the animals, most recently lobbying the Florida legislature on behalf of the ASPCA.
MacFall graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., with a degree in English literature. She went on to earn her M.S. in communication disorders from the University of Texas, Dallas before moving to Florida.
When not at work lobbying for the animals, she devotes much of her personal time to her dog Abbey, a Hurricane Katrina refugee, and several other adopted dogs and cats.
