West Virginia State Director

Summer Wyatt

  • Summer Wyatt is The HSUS's West Virginia state director. Pete Marovich/For The HSUS

The West Virginia state director for The HSUS, Summer Wyatt, has always cared about animal protection and awareness.

This passion for the well-being of animals became a crusade, spurring her Miss America public service platform: "Making the Connection: Animal Cruelty and Family Violence," which allowed her to make appearances across the state, including humane education presentations to more than 150,000 students.

Meet Summer Wyatt and watch her at work

Wyatt has since turned her passion into a career and has been involved in several large-scale animal cruelty and rescue cases, as well as the passage of laws protecting animals in West Virginia.
