Adam Parascandola is the director of animal cruelty investigations for the Animal Rescue Team.

In his two years since joining The HSUS, Parascandola has developed the nation’s most successful campaign against institutionalized, illegal animal cruelty.

On a daily basis, he acts as a comprehensive resource for law enforcement tasked with enforcing laws against animal fighting, puppy mills, and animal hoarding across the country.

In addition to helping secure convictions against of dozens of large-scale animal abusers, Parascandola helped achieve the first-ever prosecution for felony animal cruelty at a slaughter plant.

Before joining The HSUS, Parascandola was the director of Oakland Animal Services and served as chief program officer of the Washington Humane Society. In both roles, he investigated and helped to prosecute hundreds of cases of animal cruelty and fighting. He was known for establishing some of the most effective programs in the country against these crimes.
