Public Policy Manager, Puppy Mills
Dale Bartlett has worked in animal protection at the national and local levels for more than two decades.
As public policy manager for The HSUS's puppy mills campaign, he has been in the forefront of advancing stronger laws to protect both dogs and consumers from puppy mill cruelty and abuse.
In his previous role as deputy manager for The HSUS's animal cruelty campaign, Bartlett worked with law enforcement and prosecutors on hundreds of animal-cruelty cases across the nation.
Bartlett is a nationally recognized expert on animal-cruelty issues who has testified before the U.S. Congress and several state legislatures. He has spearheaded successful efforts to pass animal-cruelty legislation, both while at The HSUS and previously with the Virginia Beach SPCA.
Bartlett has been quoted in local, national, and international media on animal cruelty issues, and is a former member of the National District Attorneys Association's 15-member Animal Cruelty Advisory Committee.
