Jennifer Kulina-Lanese is Field Responder for the Animal Rescue Team, working in the field to rescue animals and helping to manage our emergency shelters.

In 2000, Kulina-Lanese started investigating animal cruelty cases for the Capital Area Humane Society in Columbus, Ohio. During her nine years of investigating and helping to prosecute acts of animal cruelty, she never lost a case.

Kulina-Lanese developed several successful programs in Columbus to help homeless animals and to educate the public about the importance of animal protection. She also became Ohio's leading expert on dogfighting and was featured in one of The HSUS's dogfighting videos years before coming on board as a full-time staff member with The HSUS.

Kulina-Lanese is based in Ohio, where she lives with her husband and four rescued dogs.
