Kenny Lamberti is the program manager for The HSUS's Pets for Life program.
Having grown up a dog lover in the under-served Boston neighborhood of Dorchester, Lamberti has a personal understanding of the community needs Pets for Life addresses.
His hands-on experience with animals includes working as a trainer at Animal Farm Foundation, an advocacy organization leading the charge in changing the image of pit-bull type dogs.
Lamberti has also taught special education classes at an inner-city Boston public school, run youth programs for the Cambridge YMCA, and worked with gang members in a reform program called Gang Peace.
A degree in psychology combined with extensive experience with—and passion for—working with both people and animals make Lamberti uniquely suited to a program whose goal is to build more humane communities for people and pets.
Lamberti lives in Philadelphia with his fantastic pit bull, Ruben.
