Antifreeze
Proposes to require that any engine coolant or antifreeze sold in Vermont contain a bittering agent to render the engine coolant or antifreeze unpalatable to children and animals.

Calves
Prohibits the transport and slaughter of calves less than 10 days old.

Coyote Contests
Prohibits coyote-hunting competitions.

Cross Reporting
Requires social workers to report concerns about animal cruelty.

Debarking and Tail Docking
Requires debarking, tail docking, and surgical birth procedures on dogs be performed only by licensed veterinarians and with the animal under general anesthesia.

Importation of Animals
Regulates animal rescue organizations and requires health certificates to import animals.

Livestock Council
Creates the Livestock Care Standards Advisory Council which is made up of agriculture interests that allows the industry to self regulate.

Pet Protective Order
Includes pet animals in protective orders.

Pet Trusts
Modernizes and codifies trust laws including pet trusts.

Pets as Prizes
Limits the giving away of a live animal as a prize at an event conducted by an agricultural or sporting association and to prohibit the sale or giving away of puppies and kittens less than eight weeks old unless they are in lots of six or more.
