Ohio: Make Cockfighting a Felony
Ohio is the only Great Lakes state where the vicious blood sport of cockfighting is not a felony. House Bill 260, sponsored by Rep. Timothy Derickson would bring Ohio into line with 39 other states and make cockfighting a felony.

Ohio: Ban Dangerous Exotic Animals
With some of the weakest exotic pet laws in the nation, Ohio has become a haven for exotic animal menageries and breeders and dealers of wild animals. Urge Ohio lawmakers to strengthen and then support Senate Bill 310, legislation that will restrict the possession and sale of dangerous wild animals in Ohio.

Ohio: Crack Down on Puppy Mills
Ohio is rapidly becoming a haven for some of the worst puppy mill operators because of the state's lack of regulation. Senate Bill 130 will help crack down on puppy mills by implementing standards and inspections.
