Naughty, naughty, but loads of fun is how we describe Alvin. Cute, compact and notorious for opening gates! Since he was born to a rescued mare and has never suffered cruelty or neglect, it is no surprise to us that this smart, friendly boy has sailed through his foundation training. He enjoys putting his feet on tarps and platforms, willingly accepts fly spraying, stands for the farrier, and trailer loads.
Alvin has been started under saddle, and now guides at a walk and trot. He is a favorite of our volunteers who love to take him out on the trail! Alvin will do well with an intermediate level horseperson or youth, or a youth rider with support of a trainer so Alvin can continue his training. He could go in many directions, but he is already making a nice trail and recreational riding horse.
