Meet Lolita

Refined and intelligent, Lolita is a sensitive mare who should make an excellent horse for an intermediate rider

The Humane Society of the United States / The Fund for Animals

  • Lolita. The HSUS

Breed: Quarter horse

Sex: Mare

Color: Sorrel, star and snip, hind socks and front bands

Age: 5 years old

Height: 14.2 hh

Horsenality: RB-I/LB-E

Spirit: Moderate

Lolita was rescued with more than 40 other broodmares and foals from a local breeder. She came to DDHRAC thin, unconfident, and with little trust in humans.

Refined, athletic, pretty, willing and intelligent, this sensitive mare is quickly becoming a favorite. A Right-Brain Introvert/Right-Brain Extrovert, Lolita is progressing nicely under training. Although still a bit timid, she has developed a strong bond to her trainer and is now quite approachable by all. She trailer loads, walks over a tarp, has good ground skills, and accepts the saddle and rider. Lolita loves to trail ride!

Lolita continues to develop and thus show her promise. She should make an excellent horse for an intermediate rider and has the potential to be a strong performance horse if her adopter is willing to invest time and patience to bring her along. Lolita is one horse who makes us proud.
