Pepsi was captured by the Bureau of Land Management and adopted through the Grace Foundation in 2009. His pasture burned during the fires that devastated East Texas last summer, and his owner could no longer care for him. He arrived at DDHRAC timid and untouchable, though he quickly warmed up to DDHRAC staff and volunteers.
In the two months since coming to DDHRAC, we have discovered a new Pepsi … one who is very social and eager to greet anyone entering the pasture. He is calm and steady, a real sweetheart. He grooms, bathes, loads into the trailer and accepts vet care. He is easy to handle, and due to his small build and gentle disposition, he is becoming a youth favorite. Keep an eye on this horse. He is a fast learner and loves people. He’s on his way to becoming a wonderful pleasure horse.
Pepsi may become a good youths horse with time, but for now he should go to an experience horseman.
