The Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for illegally killing a trumpeter swan near Star, Idaho.

The Unleading of a Swan
When we first examined the male mute swan, we were at a loss of what could cause these clinical signs. Blood tests revealed the problem: he had a very high level of lead in his system – nearly enough to kill him.
