Pigeons are so much a part of the urban scene that it is hard to imagine what our cities would be like without them—except poorer. Perhaps because they’re so adept at living in harsh conditions, pigeons are sorely underappreciated animals. They’re actually some of the most interesting and storied wild neighbors we have.
