Trio of American Mink Orphans Learn Social, Survival Skills
In early June, a Massachusetts Audubon Society staff member dropped off three infant mink orphans, each weighing less than seven ounces. A neighbor had seen the minks' mother hit by a car and heard the frightened orphans crying nearby.

Screech Owl Gets the Chance to Soar Again
A Plymouth County, Mass., woman spotted a tiny Eastern screech owl heavy entangled in a fishing line and a fish hook. She cut him free and brought him to the Cape Wildlife Center for rehab.
