Contact Us about the Maryland Dog Ruling

In April 2012, the Maryland Court of Appeals issued an opinion in Tracey v. Solesky, declaring all pit bull-type dogs "inherently dangerous." This ruling could lead landlords and insurance providers to institute no-pit-bull policies—or even ban dogs altogether.

The HSUS is gathering the most up-to-date information possible to help everyone affected by this ruling. You can find resources—and the answers to many of your questions—at humanesociety.org/protectmddogs.

We are more than happy to answer any question you have individually as well. Just fill out the form below, and you'll receive a timely reply.
