Maryland Dog Lovers: Share Your Story

The Maryland Court of Appeals ruling that "pit bulls" are “inherently dangerous” has outraged Marylanders across the state.
The Humane Society of the United States is working with other organizations, dog lovers, and Md. decision makers to help everyone affected by the ruling.
Cruel choices
Maryland residents are already facing horrible choices. Renters are being told by their landlords that pit bull-type dogs are prohibited in their buildings. People who own their homes are hearing that their homeowner’s associations are taking steps to limit such dogs. Landlords are facing increased liability if they allow tenants to keep pit bull-type dogs.
