Ever dream of helping to care for a chimpanzee?
Traveling across the country to volunteer or intern for a few weeks or months at a chimpanzee sanctuary?
Or helping a rescued chimpanzee —from your living room?
Consider volunteering on-site at a sanctuary for chimpanzees who have spent time in laboratories, as pets or in the entertainment industry. If you don't live nearby, you can help by offering your talents to off-site projects that can be done from home, or by traveling to a sanctuary to volunteer for a month or more.
All seven sanctuaries listed below accept volunteers willing to devote time and energy to help these fascinating animals. Click on the "Volunteer Info" link below a sanctuary's name to learn more.
