Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes about a dozen cookies.
1 cup Earth Balance or other dairy-free margarine
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup applesauce
Dash of vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup vegan chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).
Stir together the Earth Balance, sugars, vanilla, and applesauce until well blended. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Form the dough into cookie shapes and bake for 10 minutes.
