Cranberry Apple Crumble

Serves 8-12

Fruit filling

3 cups tart peeled apples, diced
2 cups fresh whole cranberries
1 cup sugar

Topping

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup melted margarine (try Earth Balance)

Pre-heat the oven to 325 F (163 C).

Mix the filling ingredients and put the mixture into a 10-inch-by-13-inch pan.

Mix the topping ingredients together and sprinkle over the fruit mixture.

Bake for one hour and serve warm or cool.
