Fur-Free Action Guide
Seven ways you can help stop the killing of animals for their fur
Fur factory farms and trappers kill millions of animals each year using brutal methods. Here's what you can do to help animals keep their fur.
1. Don't buy fur!
When consumers refuse to purchase fur, designers will stop using it, retailers will stop selling it and fashion writers will stop reporting on it as an acceptable trend. You can take a stand with every purchase you make. Sign our fur-free pledge »
2. Support fur-free retailers and designers
Shop at fur-free retailers and designers. More and more have announced that they don't sell animal fur or are phasing in a fur-free policy. See our fur-free list »
3. Join the Fur-Free Campaign Facebook page
Keep up on the latest developments and actions to protect animals from the fur trade. Find us on Facebook »
4. Engage in the marketplace
Thank companies on our fur-free list with emails and online comments. Help us expand our list: If you think that a company has a fur-free policy, ask to have this confirmed in writing and forward correspondence to firstname.lastname@example.org. Contact retailers or designers who sell fur and let them know you won't support companies that profit from cruelty. Then let us know so we can ask them to go fur-free.
5. Speak up and educate
Share information about the problems with animal fur on social media, in online comments and in letters to the editor.

7. Share this video with people who wear fur
Know anyone who still wears fur? Let them know the cruelty behind their fur clothing.
