The Humane State Program is designed to bring an infusion of training and resources throughout an entire state to help tackle animal abuse. Our training based program’s goal is to create awareness and afford resources to further the mission of The HSUS on an expanded state level. This three year commitment establishes a foundation in core areas during year one and narrows the focus, refining our outreach to address state specific issues. At the core of the program is statewide training and by taking our teams on the road we are able to make these learning opportunities easily accessible to both law enforcement and the shelter/rescue community. The Humane State Program creates a cohesive state initiative that will be the infrastructure for a more Humane State.
