    Fires in Colorado have consumed 181,426 acres and almost 35,000 residents have evacuated. Utah and Montana also face wildfires. The HSUS reminds pet owners to take their pets with them if facing evacuation.

    The HSUS Helps Rescue 33 Dogs from Cruel Conditions in Tenn.

    The HSUS’ Animal Rescue Team was called in by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and Cumberland County Animal Control to assist in the rescue of 30 dogs from the home of a Crossville, Tenn., couple, where the animals were being kept in inhumane conditions.

    The HSUS Helps Rescue 52 Dogs from Texas Puppy Mill

    The HSUS’ Animal Rescue Team was called in by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the rescue of 52 dogs from a Giddings, Texas, property. The sheriff's office and veterinarians from Austin Animal Services inspected the property and found dogs living in deplorable conditions and suffering from various injuries and illnesses.
