After an HSUS presentation at the Parsons New School for Design, fashion student Lizette Avineri decided to create her own faux-fur fashions. Her work has helped bring awareness to the cruelty behind the fur industry and the amazing alternatives available for designers.

After years of unlabeled animal fur duping consumers who thought they were buying fake fur, a new federal law taking effect tomorrow requires that all garments made of animal fur must disclose the fur content on the label, regardless of dollar value.
