Pain and Distress Associated with Polyclonal Antibody Production: Discussion and Recommendations
This manuscript describes the recommendations of a group of experts who convened at a roundtable discussion held by The Humane Society of the United States in 2002. Participants in the workshop considered several animal welfare-related aspects of Polyclonal antibody (Pab) production and recognized that insufficient attention has been paid to animal welfare aspects of Pab production. The HSUS has widely distributed this manuscript in an attempt to increase attention to the alleviation of pain and distress associated with Pab production.
