Pierce Brosnan: Licensed to Spay/Neuter Pets
Brosnan creates artwork for a "Spay and Neuter Saves Lives" license plate in California
Recognized for his tireless work advocating for the protection of marine mammals and the oceans, acclaimed actor and producer Pierce Brosnan is using his considerable talent as a painter to raise awareness of another animal cause close to his heart: pet overpopulation and the importance of spay and neuter programs.
Joining forces with The California Spay and Neuter License Plate Fund and the California Veterinary Medical Board, Pierce has created original artwork for a “Spay and Neuter Saves Lives” license plate that will provide funding for free and low-cost spay and neuter surgery programs across California. Pierce’s colorful and adorable painting features Coco and Shilo, the cat and dog he and his wife Keely have adopted.
The California Spay and Neuter Plate Program is unprecedented in California and has been hailed as a brilliant initiative that will benefit animal shelters and help curtail the number of homeless and unwanted dogs and cats throughout the state.
By pre-ordering the “Spay and Neuter Saves Lives” license plate today, you can be among the first to display this unique, eye-catching plate on your vehicle. The state of California will begin production of the new plate after 7,500 pre-orders have been submitted. For more information and to order plates online, click here or call (800) 390-1541.
So don’t delay, license your car to spread the word about spay/neuter and the heartbreaking problem of pet overpopulation—it may encourage other states to follow suit.
A big thank you to Pierce Brosnan—an animal advocate who’s using his voice and creativity to make a difference on behalf of all animals.
