Like golf? Love animals?

You can combine your passion for both at a March 29, 2013, fundraiser for the Fund for Animals Wildlife Center.

Held at the San Vicente Golf Resort, the Wildlife Golf Tournament will raise the funds for FFAWC's lifesaving work.

All proceeds will help the FFAWC continue its rescue and rehabilitation services to ill, injured, and orphaned wildlife and to provide care to permanent sanctuary residents.

In addition to contests for chipping and putting, the FFAWC will also host raffles and auctions for all attendees on the day of the event.

When: Friday, March 29. Participants may check in at 11:30 a.m. A shotgun tee off is set for 1 p.m.
Where: San Vicente Golf Resort, 24157 San Vicente Road in Ramona, Calif.

Registration is open to the public, with the details as follows:

  • The tournament will be played in scramble format with four golfers per team. Individual registrations are welcome, and teams will be assigned by the event chairperson.
  • The registration fee is $100-$125 per player, based on membership, and includes green fees, cart rental, prizes, and dinner.
  • To register for the golf tournament or for more details about sponsorships, contact Ali Crumpacker at 760-420-9522 or email acrumpacker@humanesociety.org

If you're not a golfer but want to help the animals, you can still participate. Become a sponsor (sponsorship opportunities range from $150 to $1,000), advertise your business, or just make a donation.

Special thanks go to our main sponsor, Ark Antiques for Animal Charities, and to our community partner, John Hine Mazda, for sponsoring a Hole-in-One prize: a brand-new Mazda 3.
