Designer John Bartlett Promotes Fur-Free Fashion
John Bartlett announced a special collaboration with The Humane Society of the United States featuring a fur-free themed capsule collection. After meeting with The HSUS to discuss how to inspire people to embrace a fur-free life, Bartlett envisioned a series of iconic tee shirts and thermals bearing the simple message “fur-free” superimposed over a fox silhouette.
Each style features a quote from Albert Schweitzer: “Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.” Bartlett and The HSUS hope to raise awareness about the inherent cruelty of an industry killing more than 75 million animals per year for their fur.
The mini collection is available exclusively through Bartlett’s online store.
Bartlett is a graduate of Harvard and the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2012 he made fashion week history with the debut of his 100 percent cruelty-free menswear collection. Bartlett has long championed animal protection issues.
