Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association Celebrates National Veterinary Technician Week with Free Membership Offer
In honor of the 21st National Veterinary Technician Week, the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association is offering free membership for all veterinary technicians who fill out a membership application online before Saturday, Oct. 19th. Celebrated in the third week of October, National Veterinary Technician Week was created by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America in 1993.
The HSVMA has offered full professional membership to veterinary technicians and assistants since its founding in 2008, including access to the HSVMA’s continuing education webinars on topics such as current spay/neuter research and the veterinary needs of backyard poultry.
Windi Wojdak, RVT, director of HSVMA’s Rural Area Veterinary Services, said: “Since its inception, the HSVMA has recognized the important contributions that veterinary technicians make as leaders in promoting a more humane veterinary profession and improving the well-being of all animals.”
To take advantage of the free membership offer for veterinary technicians during National Veterinary Technician Week, please visit hsvma.org/join and enter TECHWEEK13 in the discount code field.
