The Consumer Specialty Products Association has been named a recipient of the Henry Spira Humane Corporate Progress Award for its work to add a bittering agent to antifreeze and engine coolant in order to prevent the poisoning of animals and humans.

South Dakota is the only state in the country without felony-level penalties for the most egregious acts of animal cruelty, after North Dakota lawmakers added tougher penalties for animal cruelty. Every Leading Canadian Supermarket Chain Takes Stand against Controversial Pig Cages
