In Re: The HSUS, et al. (Foie gras adulteration)
With overwhelming evidence that the birds raised for force-fed foie gras are diseased, and in light of a scientific study suggesting foie gras may pose increased health risks to those who consume it, the HSUS filed a rulemaking petition requesting the United States Department of Agriculture to declare foie gras an adulterated food product.
